A Fantastic start to the cup campaign for Somersall after a 2 week break. The game started with Somersall applying all the pressure and it nearly paid off with a shot from Daniel Waller that just missed the far post. Again Somersall created chances and Somersall nearly opened the scoring when James Whibberley ran through the Tansley defence but to only smash the ball against the crossbar. But the fluent passing continued from Somersall and finally they made a breakthrough when Luke Russell slid in Daniel Waller who passed it through the keepers legs. Somersall went into the second half with a completely different team, but the superb passing continued and early on in the half they made it 2 when Ewan Edwards shot struck the post and James Potter was there for the tap in! But Tansley pulled one back when their striker intercepted a loose ball and somehow managed to squeeze the ball into the top corner. Somersall replied by earning themselves a corner which Alex Fletcher took and managed to get the ball to Ewan Edwards who SMASHED the ball into the top corner. But Somersall hadn't finished! another corner taken by Alex Fletcher and again it caused Tansley problems, but this time they managed to clear it but only to the feet of Alex Wainwright who drilled it into the penalty area only to be tapped in by James Potter again. Somersall continued to play fantastic football and they made it 5 when the ball fell to Patryk Goral on the edge of the area and Patryk drilled the ball into the top corner! Great goal! Man Of The Match went to Patryk Goral who put in a great performance and caused Tansley's Defence some real problems but the Man Of The Match could of gone to any member of the Somersall team! Good start to cup campaign!
